  whete did the name christian come from?

  i understand it came from opposers of those that followed christ.

  now what can a follower of christ do?

  Whete did the name Christian come from? I understand it came from opposers of those that followed Christ. They were the ones who invented the name Christian. By mocking the followers of Christ they needed a name and they evented the name " Christian" and the followers of Chirist adopted the name.

  So what is a follower of Christ? ....simply a follower. A free of charge follower, a follower with out a " title" .

  Now what can a follower of Christ do? He can breath a sigh of relief that his friends his neighbours the whole world is made up of followers and that he doesnt need a church as a focus of his worship nor even to be called a Christian.

  yes the title of my first post was a little negative " shatterd faith" and the truth is i dont feel like that at all.. its wonderful being in a state of not knowing as it makes hope possible.

  and what i now learn i will learn from within and also enjoy doubt.. so why do i call this post " i am free"?

  because i will no longer allow a tiny few control the direction of my life.

  . So am i happy leaving the ' spiritual paradise' of W.T freedom? Well what freedom have i lost? I i am no longer free to do as the W. T tells me. I have lost that freedom.

  The word freedoom came from a choice of freewill. Christians could either denounce there faith or be thrown to the lions. so they were free but doomed.

  Yes life always gives choices, and the choices are not always good. For some leaving the W.T is a choice of freedoom equal to being fed to the lions.

  My freedoom was easier ,my circumstances and careful planning allowed me too be free with out to much pain to my soul.

  I have appreciated reading the varied way members on this board have fought for there freedoom. I respect each circumstance is different and i can not judge any one but myself.

  so, here i am almost 5 years after the big exit.

  life during this time has been tumultous, joyous and sometimes full of tears.

  got new friends, social circle moving well (i am an outgoing person), new girlfriend (after messy divorce of jw wife), own business.. but i knew something would come back and bite me into my rear-end:.

  Indoctrinated Christians...

  i was thinking that most indoctrinated christians i know seem never to ever question their faith.

  no matter how sound the reasoning for another belief.in fact the stronger the argument destroying the christians beliefs the more proof positive the indoctrinated christian becomes of its evil origins.

  satan, alert and the built in defence system against reason or logic takes effect.. the above is just my personal observation .

  Which all seem to be saying why isnt the ' exact and literal word of God' not clearer and more understandable and not so open to anyone and everyones assumptions and interpretations?

  Yes Christian answer me that, and then maybe just maybe, ' so called Christians' could find it in themselfs not to be at each others throats not to mention the religiouse persecution you impose on others.

  P.S. i admire the gentle voices of any Christians on this forum, even if i dont share your faith.

  "george" (for the sake of both discussion and anonymity).. this is, after all, a public forum.. my birth name is rxxxxxxx, but i permit my "master" (i allow him this assumption) to call me bxx because, from the very beginning, he had difficulty pronouncing rxxxxxxx.

  i have broad shoulders; i can deal with it.

  fyi: the papers "george" spread out on the floor during my juvenile housebreaking episode were read, not soiled.

  - i am now one individual expressing my own thoughts and point of view.

  i think by doing this i oppose the w.t and have woken up many sleeping witnesses and even inspired them to think for themselfs and listen to that voice of reason inside them.. but now that voice of reason is awoken there is no longer any sleep no more dreaming and slowly have discoverd a new life of lies and illusion .holly shit the whole world , the goverments and the newspapers and advertising is feeding me the same s...t only different lies and a differnt illusion than the watchtowers.

  Do We Have Responsibilities as "Apostates"?

  something i have struggled with over the last few years, do i have a responsibility as an "apostate" to warn/extract others from the wtbts?.

  one part of me says "damn right you do", its a frikken cult.

  how would you feel about someone who failed to warn you about a dangerous organization, whether its a religion or something else.. the other part of me says "leave it alone".

  If i am not on my home terriortary and i see witnesses i will leave them with a factual thought which they didnt know about the W.T. But thats as far as it goes.

  If people in my congregation which to ignore me in the street, i couldnt care less. If they want to be friendly thats ok too, but i wont talk religon. My preaching to them is my having left.

  no doubt they would have known he was aall powerful.

  he created everything... and most importantly he was god.

You have a loving wife that said " fxcxk it lets just not go anymore" id say " wow go forth and mutiply" ...man with your wifes attitude celebrate and enjoy life and say "thank you very match W.T thank you very much Bible you have been great but i got a better life now"

  Jehover was not worthy of his task, and so the angels were not equal to there task and had to discover satan was not worthy of his task.

  I think think explains it SOCONFUSED....because thats as unconfusing as it gets. Unless any posters can confuse us more?
